Board of Directors & Steering Committee

Jersey Village Senior Outreach is a volunteer-run organization. Our governing body is made up of a three-member Board of Directors plus a Steering Committee.

Meet Our Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors is responsible for guiding our organization towards a bright and sustainable future. All three persons are charter members, providing sound and ethical guidance in final decision making to fulfill JVSO's mission.



Karie Lawrence
Programs Coordinator

Karie retired from CFISD as Technology Coordinator and is a    co-founder of JVSO. She is active in several JV organizations supporting our thriving community. 

Gary Frankel
Technical Coordinator

     Gary is retired from 45 years of work in the Information Technology field. He is now busy catching up on his hobbies and the great outdoors. 

Patricia Aune
Fund Raising Coordinator

Patricia is a semi-retired accountant. She is busy enjoying grandchildren and the community. 

 


Meet Our Steering Committee

Our Steering Committee helps guide the Board of Directors in decisions affecting JVSO. 

Jo Hewett
President

Jo recently retired as a healthcare provider after 38 years and is a co-founder of JVSO.  She believes that staying active and connected results in positive aging.

Sandy Steffens
Volunteer Coordinator

Sandy has a history of volunteer work with adults and children. She enjoys photography, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Stan Polak
Treasurer

Stan works in the financial side of the natural gas utility business. He enjoys time with family, foreign travel, cooking, science, and current events. 

 


Nancy Frankel
Membership Coordinator

Nancy retired from CFISD and continues to advocate for greater literacy opportunities for all. She enjoys reading, hiking, and visiting with old and new friends.

Curtis Haverty
Grant Writer

Curtis is a retired Navy Seal Officer and has served JV as a City Council member. He is currently a volunteer with the Jersey  Village Fire Department.

 

Kathleen Koenig
Community Liaison

Kathleen retired from Sysco Corporation after 39 years.  She now spends her time enjoying her grandchildren, family, friends, traveling and numerous hobbies.
