Join us Wednesday, October 5th for a guided tour from the author, Kimber Fountain, of “Galveston’s Red Light District: A History of the Line” (2018). It is a riveting journey through the forgotten parts of Galveston that were once bustling with wild parties and brothels. This is a walking tour that covers approximately 12 city blocks with two sets of steps.
Lunch will be at Katie’s Seafood House on Pier 19 overlooking the harbor. Katie’s is known as a boat-to-table restaurant but there are non-seafood items on the menu as well.
We will be meeting at the Civic Center at 9 am to travel by bus to Galveston. Tour cost is $25 per member and you pay online through our JVSO website when registering or give your money to Terry O'Kelly (limited seating). If paying online, select "Purchase Tickets" to register.
Lunch will be purchased on your own from the menu provided.
