What makes a great film?
Everyone has their own preferences about what they like in a movie. Some people like gunfights, car chases, and explosions, the more the better. Some people like romance and chick flicks. Some people like movies that make them laugh. Some people like movies that make them cry. Some people like movies that scare them.
The best sorts of movies usually are more than just pure entertainment, they make you think.
JVSO Film Club is open to all members. For now, all meetings will be via Zoom, and everyone will watch the movies at their leisure before the meeting. It is our hope that once the pandemic is under control we can all go out to the theater together, then gather at a restaurant to discuss it.
If you have a favorite you think the group would like, please share them with us. All movies will be chosen by a random draw.
Our film club has chosen the following films for 2021; click on the movie poster to read the Rotten Tomatoes Review.
